Amazon shareholders decline moves to reshape the company

The latest tech news in May shows amazon companies’ shareholders’ rejection of many proposed ideas by faultfinders as they instead defended greatly its business responsibilities and hard work.

This tech giant is said to have said no to all the 11 proposals presented to it during a yearly meeting held which was to venture into making a new social responsibility goal. The proposals that were rejected are said to have put their aims on food waste, racism, sales of technology e.g. software that recognizes human faces and was said to lead to violation of human rights.

These come amid very intense moments for the company due to changed and adjusted policies brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. Some of the pressure laid on the company was putting in place safety at workplaces by providing the right facilities.

Not even one proposal got enough votes to be taken in.
