TizenOS – Samsung SmartTVs

Tizen is an open and flexible Linux-based mobile operating system backed by the Linux Foundation to meet the needs of all participants of the mobile and connected device networks such as Samsung device manufacturers, mobile operators, application developers, and independent software vendors. Tizen OS was developed by a community of developers and it helps mobile developers to work with device partners to modify the operating system and user experience to meet the needs of specific user needs. It also enables application developers to cover a wide range of new smart devices using Tizen OS, including smart TVs, gaming devices, DVRs, and appliances.

Samsung merged its Linux-based OS effort into Tizen and has been using it primarily on platforms of technology devices and smart TVs. the first Tizen OS device was a tablet but it was part of an advance device exclusive to Japan. Later Samsung released the smartwatch that used a Tizen-based operating system that was different from Android smartwatches. Tizen OS has been a good idea in theory, but in practice, it has been more of a failed experiment. The good thing about the company is its determination to launch more phones powered by Tizen in the future.

Samsung currently has a host of wearable watches and bands which use a variation of Samsung’s Tizen operating system.  Fitness tracker devices with Tizen OS include the Gear Fit2 Pro, Samsung’s fitness band watch and apps. Tizen OS system gives easy access to popular streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, Google Play Movies and Apple TV BT Sport services. With these, you can watch anything you want to without limitation. The advantages of using Tizen os are; the OS is Compatible with various mobile platforms. The Tizen OS is so flexible to offer many applications and adapt too, with little changes. It also has vast personalization capability.
